How ClassFabric Works

From a single standard and topic to a complete, multi-section, multilingual lesson — here is exactly what happens at each step.

1

Define Your Lesson

Start by providing the essential context that shapes the lesson. ClassFabric does not guess — it builds from what you give it.

  • Title & Topic — Name the lesson and describe the subject area
  • Grade Level — Select the target grade (6–12) so vocabulary, complexity, and examples are age-appropriate
  • Bloom's Taxonomy Level — Choose the cognitive level (Remember, Understand, Apply, Analyze, Evaluate, Create) to control depth and rigor
  • Standard Text — Paste the exact academic standard your lesson must address. ClassFabric can optionally expand it using AI for additional alignment guidance
  • Source Material — Upload a PDF, DOCX, or TXT file with reference content. The text is extracted and used to ground the AI in your specific material
  • Teacher Notes — Add any specific instructions, emphasis areas, or constraints you want the AI to follow
2

Contextual Prompt Assembly

This is where ClassFabric is fundamentally different from generic AI. Instead of sending a simple request to an AI model, ClassFabric assembles a modular, multi-layered prompt stack:

  • System prompt — Sets the AI's role as a curriculum specialist
  • Security layer — Prevents off-topic or harmful content generation
  • Standard injection — Your exact standard text is embedded in the prompt, not paraphrased
  • Bloom guidance — Level-specific instructions control questioning depth and activity complexity
  • Grade-level context — Vocabulary, sentence structure, and concept complexity are tuned to the selected grade
  • Source material — Extracted text from your uploads grounds the AI in real content, not general knowledge
  • Locale-specific formatting — Lessons respect language and cultural conventions from the start

Every prompt is versioned and audited, so you always know exactly what generated each lesson.

3

AI Generates the Lesson Article

The assembled prompt is sent to the lesson generation engine, which produces a complete lesson article. This is not a rough draft — it is a structured, editorial-quality piece of curriculum:

  • Full-length article (configurable word count bands) covering the topic through the lens of your standard
  • AI editorial review automatically evaluates the article for accuracy, standard alignment, and grade-level appropriateness
  • Real-time progress tracking shows generation status in your workspace
4

Review & Revise

Once generated, the article appears in your workspace builder. You have full control:

  • Read the article — The full lesson text is displayed alongside the AI editorial review
  • Request revisions — Tell the AI what to change. It revises while preserving standard alignment and Bloom level
  • Approve — Lock in the article when you are satisfied. This unlocks the next stages
5

Generate Lesson Sections

After approval, generate companion sections that turn the article into a complete lesson package:

  • Assessment — Standards-aligned questions at the correct Bloom level
  • Vocabulary — Key terms from the lesson with grade-appropriate definitions
  • Discussion Questions — Open-ended questions that promote critical thinking
  • Activities — Hands-on exercises that reinforce the lesson concepts

Select which sections you need — generate one, some, or all of them.

6

Translate

ClassFabric supports English, Spanish, and French from day one. Translation is not a simple word-for-word conversion:

  • Translates the approved article while preserving academic rigor and standard alignment
  • Translation status is tracked per locale — if you revise the article, translations are marked as stale
  • Each translation is stored independently and can be exported separately
7

Export as PDF

Generate beautifully designed PDFs ready for your classroom:

  • Student view — Clean, distraction-free layout optimized for student reading
  • Teacher view — Includes answer keys, teaching notes, and alignment details
  • Export in any supported locale (EN, ES, FR)
  • PDFs are stored securely and available for download anytime
8

Organize & Manage

Your lessons live in a workspace dashboard designed for teachers:

  • Organize lessons into folders for easy access
  • Track generation status, translations, and exports at a glance
  • Archive old lessons or delete them when no longer needed
  • Credit system gives you daily generation capacity with the option to purchase more
